Logo Story & Symbolism
Evidence for the mark's history and graphic anatomy, with interpretations clearly marked as proposals.
Martinitoren as a documented reference
Code comments and Git history since 25 September 2026 identify the tower in the logo as 'Martinitoren'. This does not prove the designer's intent. The designer's name, original brief and creation date remain unverified.
Graphic anatomy
The mark shows a stepped navy tower and symmetric flame-like forms with red, orange and amber in the original artwork. Sampling raster colors from the mark does not replace the frozen palette; the original mark must not be recolored.
Interpretations awaiting approval
Connections to Groningen, community spirit, knowledge and impact for Indonesia may be proposed as editorial interpretation, but not quoted as documented original designer intent until the project owner approves.
- Narrative status: PROPOSED, not an approved identity rule.
- Primary evidence: Git history, original PNG and LOGO_ORIGIN_AND_PHILOSOPHY.md.
What remains unknown
No authentic vector source, designer attribution or original decision record was identified. Do not invent symbol history, name undocumented creators or treat decorative artwork as architectural photography.
