Color System

Five core colors

Paper Ivory is the editorial canvas; Charcoal Ink for text; Firmament Navy for identity and primary actions; Atomic Orange for restrained emphasis; Groningen Red for civic accents or genuine danger. No new category colors.

Contrast and application

Do not use orange for small text over white or ivory without contrast verification. Paper Ivory is never a button fill. Use the existing CSS/JSON tokens and test each text/background pair against WCAG 2.2 AA.

• Primary CTA: Navy with white text.
• Editorial canvas: Ivory, not a button color.
